Privacy notice
Information sent to the newsroom
Contact forms store your name, email, message, and any optional details you submit privately for editorial follow-up. They do not automatically publish your information. Staff may receive an email notification. Please avoid sending sensitive information through these forms.
Website measurement
When enabled, our first-party counter stores daily page and article totals, not reader profiles or raw IP addresses. Short-lived salted hashes help limit abuse. It does not use tracking cookies, and its browser script respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Aggregated article counts may be shared with an advertiser through a private report link.
Third-party services
Playing embedded YouTube or Vimeo video can contact that provider. Newsletter signup, business websites, advertisements, and other external links use the linked service’s policies. The weather module requests a location forecast from the National Weather Service; it does not ask for your device location.
Retention and requests
Newsroom staff retain submissions until editorial review and applicable retention needs are complete. Contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion. WordPress account, comment, hosting, security, or additional plugin features may process other data described by their operators.
